"Vows made in storms are forgotten in calm."
~~ Thomas Fuller

"Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray."
~~ Lord Byron

"Living is strife and torment, disappointment and love and sacrifice, golden sunsets and black storms. I said that some time ago, and today I do not think I would add one word."
~~ Sir Laurence Olivier

"We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit."
~~ ee cummings

I can think of only one word for this once I viewed it full screen. Glorious! Like God's world alone put on film. Beautiful scene with brilliant color John! A keeper for me!

I have seen several clouds of the tempest of late Shads. They have not been nearly as pleasing as this photo. A great capture and FDR is done well.

The lake looks so deep and green and the clouds may or may not be tempestuous. It's difficult to say until I've taken the risk of being outside with them.

I LOVE the ee cummings quote!

Again I like this one despite the slightly heavy postwork. There's a nice translucence to the water bottom right, and the slightly cartoon-like quality of the trees on the far side appeals to me.
