The bridge looks sound enough. A nice capture of this parkland scene, John. I like the open look of the forest now that the leaves have fallen. Nice lighting in the shot.
Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick.

A great autumn photo. There are everything about autumn in this photo. Great colors of autumn, fallen leaves, rain, mud and the smell of the forest. Last one not included to the photo, just my imagination :)
The solid bridge contrasting with the delicacy of the branches, and the gorgeous colours of the fallen leaves combine to make this a most beautiful image. The bridge gives focus to a busy image (so much detail to enjoy) and it all comes together to invite the viewer to step into the scene and discover what is beyond.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
