I can smell the sunlight on your skin. Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!

The first thing I noticed on this posting, John, is the intricate detail work involved. I'm hoping that PhotoShop and/or Mandelbulb allow you to create a single chunk that can be copied and manipulated. If that's not the case, you lead a very tedious and monotonous life, perhaps almost like mine.

The second thing I noticed was the illusion of the 3-D quality of the image. Your use of varying shades of graytones show shadows within shadows. The resulting image is reminiscent of the scene in the first Star Wars movie at the very end when Luke Skywalker buzzes the valley area of the death star while Darth Vader and his two side kicks chase Luke. Your image is much more detailed. Did you work for George Lucas.

These crystals must be from a different universe. As far as I know ice crystals on earth are hexagonal. These are triangular. Great work again, John.

Great detail and I really like the absence of color for this.

When I first saw this I thought you were into making lace table mats!! Great piece of work you have here John! This type of fractal looks so complicated, but you seem to have mastered it very well. Well done!
