In The Start of a Spring Shower I showed the spot where the children’s castle once stood. Recently I found on my cell phone a picture I had taken, during a walk, of the castle and thought I would share that with you. So, now you can see the before and the after.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.

I guess everyone has a place from one's childhood which had similar mysterious quality plus offered great fun in playing all sorts of games. my personal place is most probably not existing any more, but I would never have courage or cowardice enough [depends how you look at that:)] to go back there. It was an apple tree in a garden where I and my cousin, Czech boy, named George, used to spend hours playing all games starting from Winnetou & Old Shatterhand [me always as Winnetou:)], Princess and Dragon [I was the Dragon and he was a princess - blond locks and blue eyes and after all it was his garden !:)],
Karel Gott and Helena Vondrackova [same case I was Karel Gott and same reasons]. In many ways that apple tree was as big as that castle when we were small...

BTW: 1 June is in Poland Child's Day!!! So this gift is most appropriate and best timed.
