An Eye Made Quiet was photographed in the Columbus Park of Roses.

“I was quiet, a loner. I was one of those children where, if you put me in a room and gave me some crayons and pencils, you wouldn't hear from me for nine straight hours. And I was always drawing racing cars and rockets and spaceships and planes, things that were very fast that would take me away.”

~~ Gary Oldman

“Your days are short here; this is the last of your springs. And now in the serenity and quiet of this lovely place, touch the depths of truth, feel the hem of Heaven. You will go away with old, good friends. And don't forget when you leave why you came.”

~~ Adlai E. Stevenson

”With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things.”

~~ William Wordsworth

Happy Birthday, owd!

This time I noticed the Chinese air at once. Love the mood of this image, dear SAC.
Re quote from G Oldman - myself was [in the distant past] the same as a child. Quiet loner. My drawings showed mostly beautifully attired princesses though... Subject of loneliness and being alone is interesting and we will discuss it many a time!
Thanks for this reflective material.

Lovely and apt quotations--and a place for pondering quiet, reflective thoughts. Beautifully done.
