Smiling

But smiles and tears are so alike with me, they are neither of them confined to any particular feelings: I often cry when I am happy, and smile when I am sad.
Anne Bront, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall

I'm not crazy. My reality is just different than yours.
Cheshire Cat, Lewis Carroll

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
Dr. Seuss

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Has somewhat the appearance of the Holy Mother Mary, John. Not the ideal or glamorous version but the more realistic and subdued version however.
Great artwork again, my friend. Kudos!

The Cheshire Cat was very wise.

A very beautiful picture of such a pensive smile - that is what I see now but knowing your work I have no doubt I shall see some other aspect next time I look - maybe tears, maybe not.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

With the style, coloration, and background, your beautiful smiling woman reminds me of a da Vinci sketch.

She is lovely and mysterious. Veiled in all expressive emotion, but that of her Mona Lisa smile.

Although I cannot see your face / As you flip these poems awhile, / Somewhere from some far-off place / I hear you laughing - and I smile. ~ Shel Silverstein

Your creative talents are impressive, for such a soft touch/impression on the face, I can still sense, strongly, the eyes... mesmerizing. Excellent work.
