Delinquents with damaged egos
What lies behind a smile?
A fragile soul cracked like shingle tile
As the cold wind blows...
Nick Settle, As The Cold Wind Blows

A cold wind was blowing from the north, and it made the trees rustle like living things.
George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

Why the Egyptian, Arabic, Abyssinian, Choctaw? Well, what tongue does the wind talk? What nationality is a storm? What country do rains come from? What color is lightning? Where does thunder go when it dies?
Ray Bradbury, Something Wicked This Way Comes

So fine was the morning except for a streak of wind here and there that the sea and sky looked all one fabric, as if sails were stuck high up in the sky, or the clouds had dropped down into the sea.
Virginia Woolf, To the Lighthouse

And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
Khalil Gibran, The Prophet

Kiss of Life, Sade

"As The Cold Wind Blows " is a very powerful poem - this image pictures it so cleverly !

But as they say here down below
This earth will be tolerant
Time will turn from slow to moderate
And the cold wind will be no more

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You amaze me again, John, not only for creating an other excellent artwork, but for finding appropriate quotes and music links as well.
See above that Lyn's favorite is 'As The Cold Wind Blows'.
My favorite however is 'To the Lighthouse' of Virginia Woolf.
Proofs that your selections are apt and well balanced ones.

It reminds me of the time I ran over a decorated cream can that was being used for a mailbox stand Strat. It was cold out and the roads were slick.
I see both my wheel and the remnants of the cream can.
Great creation with you usual apropos quotes.

I can only shake my head in awe upon viewing your incredible works of art... such a bounty of creativity... in so many venues...this is a stunning scene, and now I think I need to add another observation. This piece is remarkable, but oh my goodness, the right hand part of this scene would be beautiful on fabric... Favorite.
