Stranger From A Stranger Land is the use of words from the title of the book, Stranger in a Strange Land, a 1961 science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein which tells the story of Valentine Michael Smith, a human who comes to Earth in early adulthood after being born on the planet Mars and raised by Martians. casechaser and Wikipedia

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

It is not the being seen of men that is wrong, but doing these things for the purpose of being seen of men. The problem with the hypocrite is his motivation. He does not want to be holy; he only wants to seem to be holy. He is more concerned with his reputation for righteousness than about actually becoming righteous. The approbation of men matters more to him than the approval of God.
Augustine

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.
Maya Angelou

Most writers regard the truth as their most valuable possession, and therefore are most economical in its use.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

A very colorful creation. The stranger must be used to such an environment

It's been a very long time since I read that book that I barely remember much about it except it was a fascinating read...so I appreciate your intro bringing some of it back to me...and love your depiction in its' depth, 3D aspects, textures, and the intriguing little being emerging from the lower centre piece...I also enjoy and concur with many of your quotes...great work, John...a fave for me...now I am off to listen to your musical accompaniment.

Another great render from you, John. Honesty obliges me to say that I still got not used to the appearance of the Mars human. A matter of time? (😄).
The music link of 'Ludlows' Legends of the Fall and the quotes to accompany this render, couldn't be chosen any better.
Excellent work again!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It looks like the Martian thought he had left home, and became confused when he landed in Japan. The Rising Sun confused him.
Great work! It is calisthenics for the mind.
