I know that to paint the sea really well, you need to look at it every hour of every day in the same place so that you can understand its way in that particular spot; and that is why I am working on the same motifs over and over again, four or six times even.
Claude Monet

Or art thou but
A dagger of the mind, a false creation,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
William Shakespeare

Obsession with self is the motif of our time.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It looks like the inside of a Mausoleum where the Bill of Rights might be entombed Strat. That's using you House of Cards theme.
Wonderful patterns.

Oh, now this is something different from you...I really like it, John, the subtle colors and textures and the delicate but intricate pattern...your image combined with your quotes makes for a very rhythmic presentation...btw, I was always a fan of Charles Krauthammer on the Brett Baier show.

---four or six times even---

I think that, due to a lack of time, Claude Moment was forced to limit his 'attempts' from 4 to 6 times, because he knew that the sea has endless appearances.
I think it was also the case with you to visualize the subject of your render.
Excelent result however, John!
