What was leadership, after all, but the blind choice of one route over another and the confident pretense that the decision was based on reason?
Robert Harris, Pompeii

The clouds of Pompeii
had nothing on his heart.
An eruption of UNCERTAINTY
then
his world e-x-p-l-o-d-e-d.
lights extinguighed,
joy (deleted).
Night is now who was once Day.
Corruption of a steaming bliss.
Darkness gripped his mind -
insomnia, coupled with a blind-ness..
that could only be caused
by some serious disruption....
like the ash of Pompeii when it settled
or the pain of a burnt page.
Loco Cocoa, backspace

Brave words. Easy to write when one was young and death was still skulking over a distant hill somewhere...
Robert Harris, Pompeii

A nice image showing the fire and ashes and an interesting narrative to go with it.

Have never seen such an artistic impression of the eruption of a volcano, John. One would almost forget the disastrous effect.
Excellent work however!

Great depiction of the eruption Strat. It is like you were there.
Video was really good and the Roman music was a learning experience.
Multi faceted presentation and done so very well.

I was fortunate to visit Pompeii once. It certainly puts one in a philosophical mood. You also do that very well with your choice of poetry and fractals.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Your design, color choices, and the way you have sectioned this really portray the heat and powerful eruptions of that historical time...as Tick said, a 'Multi faceted presentation'...well done, John!
