The Andromeda Strain is a 1969 techno-thriller novel by Michael Crichton documenting the efforts of a team of scientists investigating the outbreak of a deadly extraterrestrial microorganism in Arizona. The Andromeda Strain appeared in the New York Times Best Seller list, establishing Michael Crichton as a genre writer.

The Andromeda Strain is a 1971 American science fiction thriller film produced and directed by Robert Wise. Based on Michael Crichton's 1969 novel of the same name and adapted by Nelson Gidding, the film stars Arthur Hill, James Olson, Kate Reid, and David Wayne as a team of scientists who investigate a deadly organism of extraterrestrial origin. With a few exceptions, the film follows the book closely. The special effects were designed by Douglas Trumbull. The film is notable for its use of split screen in certain scenes.

I was thinking of this movie some time back and how it would be a good one for you...right up your alley in my opinion...and this image does not disappoint...your abstract clearly portrays the virus and its' invasion...great quotes too, reminding of the book and movie I have both read and watched but long ago...super submission...thanks, John!

John although this SF-movie isn't familiar to me, I've read the intriguing story about it. Think it was sufficient to say that your visualization of this SNATM-theme (🎥) is a very good one.

I see you used the "split screen" effect too Strat. Your attention to detail is quite amazing.
It seems so long ago the book and movie were first planted in our consciousness.

Awesome render John. I don't even have to "Strain" to know that I like this:):) I was working at Smith's Food King in Riverdale, Utah when the book came out and I read it at work while operating the bread bagging machine. It was an awesome story, I loved it:) Good one buddy!!
