Hellraiser is a 1987 film written and directed by Clive Barker, based on his novella, The Hellbound Heart.

Kirsty Cotton: Who are you?
Pinhead: Explorers in the further regions of experience. Demons to some. Angels to others.

Kirsty Cotton: It's just a puzzle box!
Pinhead: Oh, no. It is a means to summon us.

If a work of art is rich and vital and complete, those who have artistic instincts will see its beauty, and those to whom ethics appeal more strongly than aesthetics will see its moral lesson. It will fill the cowardly with terror, and the unclean will see in it their own shame.
Oscar Wilde

And so we remained till the red of the dawn began to fall through the snow gloom. I was desolate and afraid, and full of woe and terror. But when that beautiful sun began to climb the horizon life was to me again.
Bram Stoker

I recognize terror as the finest emotion and so I will try to terrorize the reader. But if I find that I cannot terrify, I will try to horrify, and if I find that I cannot horrify, I'll go for the gross-out. I'm not proud.
Stephen King

True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.

Your image a visual feast; your quotes 'food for thought'; this one really fills one up and touches a lot of the senses with its' explosion of color and complex scene to explore, if one dare to look closely... and I haven't even checked out your link yet...thank you, John, for another fabulous production for SNATM!

A very nice and colorful image for the title. I have read a few novels by Stephen King - fascinating and scary!

John, I'm not familiar with this movie, so I've check-out your link to get an impression about it. 'Fantastic'/intriguing story, almost impossible to visualize this SNATM-theme (🎥) properly, but by viewing this result I've to say that it couldn't be any better.
About selecting the quotes and the music link, I've to 'play' an old 'tune': perfectly done again!

Another rather frightening image, especially the gruesome face in the flame.
I am off to check the link after having explored the splendid intricacies of the picture

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I hope I never see this scene in the after life Strat. It is frightening.
Wonderful work for SNATM. Quotes are top notch as always.
I haven't seen the movie but it sounds like it did well in GB.
A good addition. 👍👍
