Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows.
Helen Keller

No, I don't miss you... Not in a way that one is missed.
But I think of you.
Sometimes.
In the way that one might think of the summer sunshine
On a winter night...
Sreesha Divakaran, Those Imperfect Strokes

The sun,--the bright sun, that brings back, not light alone, but new life, and hope, and freshness to man--burst upon the crowded city in clear and radiant glory. Through costly-coloured glass and paper-mended window, through cathedral dome and rotten crevice, it shed its equal ray.
Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

Dandelion Wine. The words were summer on the tongue. The wine was summer caught and stoppered...sealed away for opening on a January day with snow falling fast and the sun unseen for weeks...
Ray Bradbury

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
John Denver, Sunshine On My Shoulders

Sunshine On My Shoulders, John Denver

Wonderful work and quotes John. My mind immediately went to a Joshua Tree in the desert and Gram Parsons. I imagine you remember him. I liked his music, especially his duets with Emmy Lou Harris.
Here is an interesting read.

Nice quotes, and good representation of the life giving rays of the sun.

A beautiful picture to go with your narrative John. It is facing the sun and so we don't see any shadows here.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

She Walks in Beauty ~ Lord Byron 1813

This is so beautiful, John. I enjoy it and I love reading the narrative. And of course, I love John Denver, one of my favorite singers. Thank you.

A very original and beautiful render, John! A surprising approach of the theme with a wonderful result.
Excuse me for repeating that the quotes and musical link are very well chosen again, but what has to be said must be said.
