John, as you may know, in physics and cosmology 'Multiverse' is a set of multiple universes aka parallel universe or alternative universe.
According to Wikipedia it's a hypothetical self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own.
I saw at the same Wiki page that in 'Arts and media' it's called a parrallel universe being a self-contained separate world, universe or reality coexisting with the real world, which is used as a recurring plot point or setting used in fantasy and science fiction.

Actually, I am half expecting those doorlike shapes on the two sides to open and a couple little guys in lederhosen to swing out, one from each side, and to the center, slamming high-held hammers down on that center shape, letting us know that it is Beer O'Clock.
