When the brig Amaryllis was swallowed in a hurricane, the captain and all the crew were swallowed, too. Now if I was having a brain fart and dreaming up a scenario for one of your works of art, John, I would like to think that this is what the scenario would be. In fact, it is the summary of a 1977 Childrens Book of the Year award winner, ^The Eyes of the Amaryllis^. Perhaps that menacing face in the middle is that of Mr. Seward?
