Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
Emily Dickinson, Hope is the thing with feathers

A noiseless patient spider,
I mark'd where on a little promontory it stood isolated,
Mark'd how to explore the vacant vast surrounding,
It launch'd forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself,
Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them.

And you O my soul where you stand,
Surrounded, detached, in measureless oceans of space,
Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking the spheres to connect them,
Till the bridge you will need be form'd, till the ductile anchor hold,
Till the gossamer thread you fling catch somewhere, O my soul.
Walt Whitman, A Noiseless Patient Spider

John, this is a wonderful creation again, larded with well chosen ingredients (poems and music links).
I saw that this is your entry for the 'Primary colors - RGB' contest.
I wish you the Best of Luck with it!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This one appears to me as a close-in capture of a Siouxan (Lakota) chief or medicine man wearing a headdress. The image, vertically, runs from the middle of his nose up to and including the quill band on the headdress (where the feather quills are stitched into the band), and, horizontally, encompassing both of his eyes. That filter app you use on some of your pieces, John, gives this one a really slick geometric feel to it. At full size it almost look like he is a robot, with sharp lines throughout.
