Facing Jackson Square, this building is the 2nd most important structure in the U.S. The Louisiana Purchase was announced here in 1803 adding to the United States all the land drained by the Mississippi River, from the Appalachian Mountains to the Rocky Mountains.

I really like this one. The central towering building bisecting the diminishing line of the street is such a good form and add to that the bright colours of the town reflected in the wet street and contrast that with the matt deep blue of the sky and you have something quite exceptional.

This is a beautiful night shot. I like the deep blue sky and the reflected colors in the street. Very well done!

Unusual view of St. Louis (??) Cathedral--I'm used to the straight-on view. Good shot.

Flattering angle of a classic beauty. My gothicometer is now broken, but it was worth it, it was worth it.
