Now there's a keeper. I can almost smell it, it's so clear.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I think that flowers are tricky things to capture, as they are not only naturally beautiful and colourful in their own right, but that a photographer needs to add their own interpretation to give the image that final 'punch' to keep your attention. I'm sure if you browse through the library of pictures; it takes a special shot to really pop out and grab your interest. The other point is that I've red devilishly difficult to work with digitally. Your shot caught my eye. Very well done.

It is a beautiful rose. I feel that the frame reduces the impact in this case and accentuates it's central positioning.
Also a touch of sharpen wouldn't hurt, particularly the core petals, unless you wanted it softer.
