Trying to wrap my mind around the 'why' the flower/bloom is muted?

Artistic licence, of course I can respect that.

Just had the thought that equalizing the brightness across the creative board and overall ... taking into consideration, in particular, that of the bloom ... might work better? Perhaps, a simple Levels or Curves adjustment?

'Tis a suggestion and some creative food for thought, that's all.

That nonsense of mine aside..
