nice mix of contrasts, focal depths and tones. great capture - had you shot it in black & white it would have been an excellent submission for the contest too :-)

Cinny that is so well focussed. The gentle, vulnerable feather amidst the spikes is poignant as well. This wokrs really well in b&w too, and would probably also work in color if the contrasting hues were right. Well done!

Dubbing you the Queen of the Pines! ;) Great find. For all reasons Phil stated, the focus goes right to the feather and it gets it's due attention. Nice job controlling any overexposure with the white.
