Wow, this is incredible detail and magnification. Amazing job you did. I very much appreciate the away the back ground is so blurred, whether you did that yourself or not. excellent job! that is outstanding
Not to mention this is indeed a good macro. And I know its very hard to capture a dragon fly to get a macro since I have that experience. Even the background is good and filled with nice colors.
This is a very nice macro wallpaper image. Good composition and lighting. My only suggestion is to use a smaller f-stop to increase the depth of field. My Crawfordville Critter image was done that way with a fill flash that produces the dark background. Great job of capturing this dragonfly.

Excellent colour, composition and details. As the guy’s at the camera club would say “You lost it in his tail” I like the way he fits into the background, that’s a nice touch. You made an excellent photo.
The focus is excellent. The colors are vibrant. The detail is equisite! My only recommendation would be to have the framing mean something. I know it is hard when your subject is live, but it is the only thing keeping this from being award winning. If you don't mind, I am going to find some room in my favorites gallery, and I don't say that about many images.
Oh, what a brilliant capture of an insect. This is really striking. Good heavens...the detail in the wings. Every line can be seen. You were fortunate to get this. Couldn't have been easy. Do you remember your f-stop and speed? What kind of camera?
