Couldn't miss the story about the terrible ice storms; it has been all over the news up here in Ilinois, Jessica. We've been in this area for almost 50 years, and I can't recollect anything so devastating happening here. Your capture of the branch and leaf completely encapsulated in the glassy ice is an excellent presentation of the power of Mother Nature. I hope you've thawed out by now! Stay warm.........Neil

I think this is a good example of what is happening now in the world. No winters anymore, so the trees get new leafs, and then mother nature attacks the new leafs, it's just terrible.
And the Ice is so thick, wow.
Good capture!

It was definitely the green leaf that grabbed my attention in this one, Jessica. Frozen in time.

Wow, that was a lot of water that must have come down and the temp was just right. The ice block is thicker than the limb! Nice capture before it got smaller, Jess.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
