I like the effect on the flowers themselves, as Catharina said, a velvet type of effect. The background, I'm afraid the jury is still out :)

And you gave this a wonderful title! The beautiful tulips have a velvet touch. I like the effects of the tulips shadows - very clever. These gorgeous purple/blue tulips look charming against the dark moss green background. I like this Dado. Great job!
