This is a very beautiful home built in the 1800's in the historical district of Macon, Ga. I installed the software that came with the EOS Digital Rebel xti and think keep drivers up to date might help me as well. It's still very difficult in a low lit gymnasium to get a really good clear shot. Any tips, I took some shots over the past three days, awards day, Kindergarten and all that good stuff but lenses are 5.8, a guy told me I need 2.8. It's all about speed I guess. I am such the noob.

it is a very pretty building, and a nice shot. the sunlight really brings you into the front of the house by reflecting off the grass. i felt that i WANTED to look at a larger sized image. i did do that and was really pleased. you do nice work.

When I saw this in the voting booth earlier today I was struck by its beauty...nicely done and what a great eye you have for composition.

Welcome back and I hope you intend on uploading a little more often.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Nice shot. I like the little spot of sunlight on the lawn on the right side. Nice exposure. I can almost taste the Mint Julip on the front porch.......

The yards here look so manicured and as well kept as this beautiful house. You've certainly presented this very nicely.

Thank you guys so much, I am glad you all like the photo. It's one of the first times I took my new camera out on a photo journey and I have a lot to learn. I love walking down old streets and taking pictures like this.

Use your imagination when photographing, that's when you know your subject is in focus.
