I just saw this in the VB and gave it my highest score, a 9 since 10 means perfect in my book, and I haven't come across a 10 yet. This is one of the finest shots I've seen on Caedes. Actually I've been pretty lucky in this round of voting as I've seen at least three of your postings. You consistently submit quality work, but this is among my favorites. I'm assuming that the C-Index of 39 will rise as soon as a few more voters gets their heads out of their butts (excuse my French). Just wanted to pop in, say hello and let you know that I'm a fan.

Whoooa, Chris ... these B & W images of yours kick some serious creative butt.

And then some.

If I may..

What camera in hand? (Thinking it is your new'ish Leica.)

And.. are you shooting in B & W, or converting?

Thanks for sharing these with us. Gorgeous shot(s).

+favs for me.

The styles of imagery here at Caedes are varied--from family snapshots to "calendar-purty" pictures, to flat-out art. From the poor quality and impulse shooting of cell phone cameras to tack-sharp and determined photographs of DSLRs. These black and whites of yours are quality art, plain and simple. They are very evocative, full of mood, and often, like this one, a glimpse into someone's private world without being obtrusive. When I was a kid, the arrival of Life magazine in the mailbox was a real treat because, even at age six, I knew I was seeing slices of life as it really was, and nothing staged. That's what your images remind me of... the best of Life. One might argue that there's nothing wrong with "calendar-purty," but those are the kind of shots we shoot to make a living or put on our desktops. Art is what we produce for our souls. High marks in the booth just now. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Wow that's atmospheric... Very cool looking, very intense, but at the same time quiet and nearly soothing...
I'd love a version of this where the little guy standing there was gone, just the building and the lines and shadows... Very nicely done!

P.S. If you get a chance, take a look at my gallery. Any comments, criticisms, advice, etc. on any of my pics would be greatly appreciated. Have an awesome day!

Definitely amazing shot. The B&W gives it such a sense of drama.
