What a lovely wide beach you have there, i like the guy fishing, he is lucky to have such a solitary place to go!! nice light, and the patterns the sea edge has made add to the shot.
Magnificent shot Cornelius - excellent work, it has the 'X' factor :)
The frame is very complimentary although for this particular picture I think it did not need one .
We all seem to love our oceans..I just finished looking at Roelf's fine picture of himself and three friends staring out off the west coast of South Africa and then the very next image is yours of someone else standing on the edge of the world, looking off into the distance, and with all that beauty behind him!! Of course, he has a reason to be there. I wonder if he caught his limit this day!!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
What a great shot. You don't need any mountains when you have beaches like this. Love the blue versus the sand color. Your border blends in nicely. Great photo.
Proficiat!

Wow! this is gorgeous Cornelius! I just love the way you captured the boy standing to one side and fishing! also the contrast and lines of the water and sea! just beautiful and looking good on my desktop!

"The more we come in contact with animals, and observe their behaviour, the more we love them, for we see how great is their care for their young." - philosopher Immanuel Kant
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Alweer zo'n prachtige opname, met schitterende kleuren. Die visser maakt het helemaal af. Ik vraag me eigenlijk altijd af of die vissers wel eens iets vangen in die branding..
