This, on February 21th, 2009 captured, image shows the rear side of some ancient houses in Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands. As you can see, people who are living there have the possibility to keep a boat in their 'backyard'. Think therefore the title of this post is an appropriate one. More than two years ago (December 12th, 2006) I've posted this, rather similar, image. Think however the quality of this recently taken one, as it's taken with another camera, is far better.

Hope you'll enjoy this post. Thank you in advance for any comment.

A wonderful view of the houses and the boats tied up in the "backyard", Cornelius. Won't it be great to just take the boat out instead of the car :)

Such clarity, and wonderful colors, Cornelius. I love those reflections, and the architecture of the buildings. Very nice post.

Scenic picture postcard image. Love the shiny reflections and composition. The previous version is just as wonderful, though a different feel to it.

Mich

I agree that the quality is better than the previous shot C. However your eye for a great scene hasn't changed. I really like the reflections in this one. Most of the backyards in my part of the world aren't all that attractive. lol

Good health to you and yours.

That is about as clear a image as anyone could want. Beautiful color, perfectly exposed, composition spot on. If I lived in those houses I would not get any housework done. I would be sitting in the window all day long, watching the activity down there on the water.

Beautiful place and beautiful photograph Cornelius. ...it is interesting to look back and compare photographs of the same place - your previous photograph was good but maybe a very slight blur so comparing you can see how your photography has improved - this image has excellent composition, colours and perspective and the focus is spot on! great shot!
