Where the Western Scheldt river (Zeeland, the Netherlands) flows into the North Sea. When you view this image at full screen size, you can see in the distance (left part of the horizon) some harbour facilities of Zeebrugge (Belgium).

Cornelius - Is is the sailboat or the couple walking that strives to get home before dark? lol Perhaps a yellow filter has helped create the soothing tones of this photo. Very well composed with lines that lead the eye right to left across the image. Serene beauty, my friend. Thad

Wild color tones in that sky! A wide open shoreline. I didn't realize you could see Belgium from your views. Has an isolated yet very appealing feeling. Thank you for sharing it.

A wonderful shot, Cornelius! The light and color create a very soothing view. The couple on the beach and the sailboat add some nice points of interest and scale. I love the composition, with the sand, sea, and sky each taking up a third of the photo. In addition, I really appreciate the level horizon. Great job!
