With a wink to this link, because I had to climb this tower (on the right side of the image)) for this DT-image.

This is my contribution to the 'Minimalism, The Art of Less' contest. Hope you'll appreciate this 'simple' entry. Thanks in advance for your comment.

I've always have been fascinated with tall ships & would love to have that weather vane on my new house. Nice & clear details plus the gold against the blue sky is very striking. Perfect contest entry, Cornelius. Best of luck in the contest.

It had to be some work to climb that tower to get the shot. Beautiful sky and a great subject.

Cornelius - The beautiful sky offers a lovely backdrop to this capture. I imagine you had some big glass on the camera for this detailed photo taken from afar. Thad

Reading the above comment of my good friend Thad, like to give him the advice to read my narrative to know that I have climb the church tower. I was 2 -3 metres lower than the vane when taking this image. I don't have the intention to do it for a second time, because I still feel very tired, lol.
