The 'Halve Maen' was open to the public during her recent port call in Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands. Therefore these young crew members in her crow's nest aren't, even on Halloween, ☺ , however searching for pirates, but are looking to the 'audience' below them.
They are somewhat amazed by the very much attention that was paid to their ship by the numerous visitors below them.
My entry for Manic Monday.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?
What a view they had, I like how I can see the one young lad squinting, very good detail, and of course sharp with good color.

At the moment the crows nest is only a platform for those who want to enjoy the view. Nice capture Cornelius.

Fear of height would prevent me from joining them, but they look like they are having a fine time. Good one.

I notice the men up in the nest are young and thin. Lately I've been climbing a 70' tree to cut it down, piece by piece, and for a 62-year-old who's just under 200 lbs., it's quite tiring. I envy these young monkeys their ability to scamper up there (but don't count out the old coot from trying it as well). An excellent telephoto view of the nest (love those curved timbers) and a great tie-in to the previous view showing just how high the nest is on the Halve Maen.
