This B&W capture shows a part of an old (1924) steam locomotive still operating at a heritage railway from the town of Goes to the village of Hoedekenskerke, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

My weekly entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge (BWC).

Well oiled and clean looking - I can almost here the sound when I look at this. Nice one for the b/w challenge Cornelius.

Black & white treatment lends itself very well to mechanical subjects, it being the color of most manufactured and machined steel. A good close inspection of the braking system of a locomotive, working on a principle close to that of a bicycle tire brake.

Perfect pristine detail with a wonderful metallic shine Cornelius.
Coincidentally our town also has a working heritage engine (Hudswell Clarke B10) which was also made in 1924!

A fine addition to the BWC thank you !
It is on the waiting list for Wednesday

PS I love your clever title for this

Excellent image! Of course, that is your trademark. Pristine clarity, lighting, tight comp, and even the metallic sheen captured. Bravo!
