This image was taken on June 1st, 2019. It's shows one of the canals downtown Utrecht, a city in my country The Netherlands.
The people in the boats are probably enjoying their ride because of the beautiful weather.

Withe trees on either side and the boats lined up on one side this is a beautiful view well composed and captured Cornelius.

It looks like they have posts to secure their boats.

I'm not sure for 100%, because I don't live in Utrecht, but compared with a similar situation in my area, I'm quite sure that the boats belong to the residents living across the road. Most of the boats aren't secured, only the cabin door, giving entrance to the interior, is locked by a padlock.
