In many cities around the world, the phenomenon of a love wall or equivalent is known. Couples in love can hang a padlock (usually provided with their initials) as a sign of their 'eternal' love there. Often, the padlocks are hung on a railing of a bridge too. A nice and cozy sight all those padlocks, but in some cities it's forbidden and such actions are even fined by the government. In Antwerp, the opposite is the case. There, a special facility has been created on the Tavernierkaai (Tavernier Quay) which, as this photograph shows, is used a lot.

This is a unique wall, I've seen walls with hearts attached and mirrors, but not one like this. Thanks for sharing, there is always something new to be found.

These walls and fences intrigue me. I don't understand why they are forbidden in some places because they bring people there. This one is quite unique :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
