When I was a little kid, the show "The Outer Limits" was playing. I was just 7 years old. I watched a particularly scary episode (at least at that time it seemed scary). My bedroom was upstairs in the attic. I had a very difficult time walking through the unfinished section of the attic to get to my bedroom. This image evokes strong memories of that in me. :)

Oooh, it looks haunted! I love that! Sadly, for me, the blurry effects (which look FAB) do funky things to my eyes. Same reason I can't really play video games for long or watch anything with hyper movement. It sucks... because I really like this.

Fantastic image, the colour you have throughout this image, is really nice, and i love the soft focus around the image. This is one of the best entries i have seen so far. It certainly doesn't give me any creepy or unnerving feeling (nor do i feel it should), rather im interested to see what is up these stairs. Great work.

Love it, however, I dont see it as 'spooky'. I think it holds more of a 'promise' than fear... but either way, its beautiful.

This really works for me. The use of black and white or duotone manipulation for this shot is great. The soft focus gives it a truly dreamy feel. Reminds me of shots my grandfather used to make back in the 20's and 30's using petroleum jelly on his lens. The angles and lines of the stairs also gives that feeling of a dream where you just can't get away. Really great work. I hope you win. anne
