Taken near Bancroft Ontario, Canada. Approx. exposure 8 seconds or so, some edits were made in photshop CS2, color and cropping, and noise reduction too. comments very welcome!

Wow, this is awsome. I love the way its dark everywhere except for the section the lightning is in. And the frame you added just adds to the drama of the picture. Very nice!

Awesome shot, I really like this. i have tried several times to take a picture of a lightning bolt, and have never succeeded. Nice framing as well.
Can I ask, is there a knack to taking a picture of lightning? The bolt doesn't last long enough for me to see it and then for my camera to take a picture.

my friend i think you were lucky. You have skill though.. the lighting in that corner of the view, is impossible to catch. I bet it took you all night with your dslr in bulb mode to take this one! Thank you for sharing such a picutre with us! i dunno why i can't put a rating anymore to this site, i would give 10/10!

A spectacular view of some bold lightning. Terrific clarity and composition. Awesome low lying clouds - the lightning is so beautiful but deadly. The lightining is reflected in an impressive way in the water. You must have the knack for these type photos...good going! And the colors and frame are pleasing too.
