another picture of the northern lights. this was facing a different direction so there are hardly any clouds. just so you know, i didnt edit this at all besides using high saturation raw transfer.
Wow...what a gorgeous view!...marvellous colors...I grabbed this for my desktop right away...thanks for sharing this wonder of nature...great capture.:Pat.
I personally like this one alot more then the other one. This one has more of the weavy lines that i think make the lights look neat. One thing i don't particually like is the way the long exposure brings out the starts so much. I would rather see it with darker stars. But it is still awesome.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of falling cat? Does it hover above the ground in perpetual indecision?"
Oh my goodnesssssss!! THe stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aNd those colours..how fortunate you are to have been able to take this photo...what kind of camera did you use for this? ITs just awe inspiring...am shaking my head in awe here..bravo!!!
I believe the second half of one's life is meant to be better than the first half. The first half is finding out how you do it. And the second half is enjoying it....
How amazing to be able to see this! Thanks for sharing it with us. And congrats for being chosen for the Artist Spotlight. You have a lot of amazing shots.

love the picture, we had some pink "lights" a few years back but there was too much haze and overcast, but I loved it. did you ever look to see if the solar activity was up prior to the night you took this picture? what kind of camera/lens did you use did use? Aperture setting?
So is a good comment all about the praise or is constructive criticism a good comment. all I see is people praising each other. I would would like real comments that help me with my work. That help me take better pictures. Perhaps camera settings, setup, etc.. Your thoughts on this?
