Wow! What a stunning image! I love the colours and the crispness of the sky and especially the rocks and the water! The breaking wave over the curvy rock is the winner here, well done.
That is what I have expected, it is yours Carl. Your photos seem easily recognizable for me. They are always stunning. This in particular: so dynamic, full of colour ... Great composition. When did you go to Dominican Republic? It must have been great holiday...
we were there for a week dec 27/05 to jan 3/06, it was a great holiday.
i only have one regret, i didnt bring my camera on a jeep safari where we climbed UP waterfalls through a carved soapstone canyon, it was fantastic, i probably wouldve ruined my camera but it would have been worth it, there would've been so many amazing pictures to take
7oo plus downloads and only 5 people could take the time to comment on this? It deserves much more than that. It is a great capture. I love the way the surf hits the rocks and then shatters into a many pieces. The complete change in water color where the surf comes up in among the rocks is noteworthy as well . And, of course the sailboat out in the beautiful blue water is a graceful touch. Very nice work.

What an outstanding photo!! The textures and colours are just awesome!! I can almost feel the rough texture of those rocks..I wonder why they aren't smooth from the surf crashing against them. I love the shadows....well, the splash of colour of the sailboat. Its fantastic photo. Verena
