After climbing the 280m face behind us, we stopped to take some pictures at 10:00. i happened to turn around and take a quick snapshot of the sunset. i think it turned out unexpectedly excellent

The title sure fits. The rich colors of the rocks is beautiful. And the sun rays are some of the most dramatic I have seen. This is a most beautiful capture, certainly not of the run of the mill. Thks for posting.

I actually thought this was a CGI before I enlarged it. Such nice definition in the mountain tops and the solar flare broke perfectly. Also, the variety of neutral colors is impressive. Nice capture.

I have a simple formula; do your best and somebody somewhere is bound to like what you did.
Great capture. You can't beat that feeling of capturing something amazing just out of the blue. When you plan photos and they don't turn out as you expect you can get downhearted, but a spur of the moment wonder like this keeps you going!
