When skiing from the meadow back into the sparse trees up in the alpine meadow leading to Burstall Pass this dazzling scene broke out. i positioned the sun behind a tree tip to reduce flaring, and the size of the sunburst which would have occured. 10mm f/9 1/125 sec with a polarizer.

Having only gone cross-country skiing once (and a long time ago) I remember coming upon a vista and wishing someone else could see or experience what I saw. This photo must have been one of those "wow" moments. Thanks for sharing it!

Reminds me my last journey in Switzerland at Christmas, with the same blue sky, but not as much of snow... Excellent use of the polarizer! :-)
