Thats my brother, spinning his 'Poi' during a backpacking trip. they're basically Kevlar pads on the end of chains soaked in camping fuel. this is a 1.6 second exposure, using a rear-sync flash to stop his motion at the end of the exposure. however you can still see 2 silhouettes of David, as the poi passed behind him during the 1.6 seconds while he rotated. Close-up to follow. f/4 ISO 400 50mm 1.6s SB600

Wowzers, Carl. Good thing you got a picture of it..60 years from now he's going to appreciate it :) The grandkids would never believe it otherwise.

i have to disagree with above. i think the grandkids will believe because i really don't see him slowing down at all. Even if he does one day do something that sticks him in a wheel chair. Remember there is always wheelchair races.

now are you suggesting that he will not be able to have children due to a mishap or two from these spinning weights? or are you referring to weather or not he will get married? or are you referring to weather or not he will live long enough to have grandchildren?
