This is an awesome view from a boat of the beautiful shoreline and valley of the mostly uninhabited side of Kauai. This might have been where they filmed parts of the opening scenes of “Jurassic Park,” but I'm not sure.

i agree, breathtaking.. this is an absolutelty astonishing image. who wouldn't want to go there? the water looks beautiful, too.. i fantasize being there and swimming.. hope it's not too cold :)
as the rest of the members had already said, this image has a great composition and lightning. what i like the most is the hinterland which is shadowed on the image, but it forms a brilliant contrast with the front part where, i agree, the natural environment seems to be untouched by human.. hope it stays that way, it is an amazing place.
I've been to Kauai twice and am going back this September. This is a shot of the Na Pali Coast where Waimea Canyon runs out to the sea. On the right is a glimpse of the Kalalau Cathedrals. Scenes from Jurassic Parks were shot from several sites on Kauai and I believe this is one (I'd have to go back and see the movie again)...great pic, great memories!
Just an incredible pic! It's almost like the pic has four layers to it (the sky, the mountain in back, the mountain in foreground and the water) and is one of my favorite pics period.
hey, a very beautiful place of our earth! this shot is amzing. it make you feel more happier and after watching this shot, you want to find this place!
Its also where they shot some scenes for Raiders of The Lost Ark, South Pacific and King Kong. If you want to see what the view looks like from the top of the canyon looking down to where you were have a look at this. Great Shot and a high mark from me. cant wait to go back their soon.
I had to go to the thumnail and read if this was computer generated, it is so perfect. Love that water. It is gorgeous. A very beautiful valley indeed. Like the light fog or midst in the background.
Good work.
