I find Lions such majestic animals, and they have an amazing presence when you around them in real life. No wonder they are called the Kings of the Jungle.

im sort of torn on this the composition of this one...part of me wishes that there was a way you could have captured his whole body...although i don't know if this was possible in your situation. but then at the same time i really like the low angle, it almost seems like we have a cubs view or something. also, it is a little bright for me, the highlights seem a bit blown out. still an excellent capture, very nice work!

Just a thought - maybe enter this image into the current contest as any warm blooded animal in the vicinity of a lion would regard that space as "negative space"! J.
