As this was taken at the zoo, the cage is evident.. this is a Blyth's Tragopan, they live in moist forests up to 9,000 ft. in the Eastern Himalayas.The dense undergrowth of bamboo, ferns and rhododendron help protect these colorful pheasants as they forage for seeds,leaves, fruits and nuts..This species is on the endangered list and it's habitat is decreasing daily from logging and agriculture..
