October's Party by George Cooper "October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came- The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples, And leaves of every name. The Sunshine spread a carpet, And everything was grand, Miss Weather led the dancing, Professor Wind the band. The Chestnuts came in yellow, The Oaks in crimson dressed; The lovely Misses Maple In scarlet looked their best; All balanced to their partners, And gaily fluttered by; The sight was like a rainbow New fallen from the sky."

Wonderful poem and picture. It looks as though this very same shot would look great in every season. Thanks for sharing Ewa.

Beautiful canopied path, one of the most inviting autumn images this season. The golden rays of sun are almost magical on these trees.

I love the colors and the way the branches seem to reach across to each other, making a perfect canopy.

My eyes always light up when I see your name in my friends box! ..don't see you much on here,, but when you do make an appearance...I know damn well it's gonna be good!!!
So beautiful a place to be!..I would dearly love to roam down those woods with you...~With a camera .. of course!~

Magical and teasing..those are the words that make me think of this one!...A stunner and a keeper!

*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!* OwdBob'sGallery

I have often walked down this path of golden hue, whether in reality or in my daydreams. It is a beautiful sight.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

A leaf’s a life, and one by one
They drift each darkling day;
Rare friends who lusted in the sun
Are frailing fast away . . .
How sadly soon will mourn the moon
My dark decay!

One moment please ... ok, back ... had to ... had to, put this in my favourites ... annnd ... d'l your image here to my HDD. :o))

Ewa ... the framing of the interlaced upper branches (et al) in your composition here is perfect. Given that that particular element is somewhat 'busy' ... you most certainly balanced out the leading lines present in this aspect with those elsewhere, well. Very well.

Convergence seems to be the operative word here. More so to a phrasing ... gentle convergence.

As a result, the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel ... serves to anchor, not overwhelm your photo.

And but of course ... the gorgeous colour palette is visually seductive to my eyes.

Not to sound trite ... but this is really a beautiful and inviting scene.

Looking at the image resolution sizes available, would suggest that you did indeed crop this one. And the results speak of your minds' eye for presentation of a final, polished result.

Really ... really ... really nice work all around. :o)
