This photo was a commercial assignment and taken in my studio. It was made on 10" x 8" (analog) film (Sinar or Cambo, I don't remember and Kodak film) and NOT digitally edited. The car was dark blue so it took me (and my crew) some time to get the light correct to gave the photo a somewhat "Miami-On-the-Road_Look". The roadmarking is actually a piece of toiletpaper. The photo was taken in one shot. Evert van Kuik

You are a professional photographer then, right? I can't wait to see more. This picture of the Park Avenue looks like it is from one of those advertisement brochures they have at dealerships. Very nice.

Thank you for the compliment Jimbob and yes I had my own studio's for 37 years, did a lot of automotive but also "food & drinks", glamour (playboy) and many, many other jobs.
This picture took me (us) a week to complete, digital photography was not invented at the time so verything had to be right in one step.

Considering that this was before digital photography, and that you did it all in one take, this photo is amazing! The only thing that throws the image off is the fact that the wheels don't match the road... the wheels are turning whereas the road keeps going straight.

The sepia tones are wonderful in the photo. I like the angle of the car, and you used toilet paper for the stripe? wow, now that's being inventive. It's nice having a unique kind of photography here. I'm enjoying your creativeness. Verena

Some comment....
The position of the camera (frogsview) and the curving of the road is the reason the wheels can't be seen "in full". It is not a question of "not matching the road" but a result of point of view of camera and subject... and therefor a logical consequence. The car is not floating (lol) and actually standing on “the artificial road”. But hey.... whatever. Nevertheless, thank anyone for compliments en critique. Regards, EvK

I love trade secrets like the toilet paper. (It amazes me what they do in food shots as well.) I can't imagine the fight you had getting a golden glow over dark blue. Great use of space to emphasize color

See kids what people used to have to do with an actual studio and a place called a darkroom.
