Whadda majestic creature!! Looks like an owd one, but I ain't no (<<yeah a double negative) owl expert...I just give a hoot for such a grand raptor!! The focus comes across pretty soft P, was that your intention?? Just curious. Was this is auto, manual, portrait or macro...how close was ya?? Killer color 'n' markings to this regal warbird!!
I was almost expecting a purple dinosaur Patti! LOL This is much better though! Another very neat looking bird. Their faces remind me of an apple sliced in half! Excellent shot Ms. Patricia Fogz! C):-)

Boy! - that Randy asks a lot of questions! lol! Well I have to try to remember because I took about 200 photographs! LOL! Okay! probably about 6 feet away. I always shoot in Raw mode! I have a Canon EOS 350D. I always set it on Program Mode and keep changing the settings. I was just trying to capture a good photograph, so no intention to make him softer looking, although I left him that way because it suits him! ;) I decided not to sharpen the image too much because it does not make him look as handsome! OKay! I know typical woman answer - but what else do you expect!

Well, as usual, Patti, reading the narrative of yours and then the ensuing comments is almost as fun as seeing your images...almost, but not quite.. great shot, and I like the way you handled the shoot. Thanks for the info :)
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*
