........and if you think it looks wet and wild, then maybe it was and maybe it wasn't! lol! well that is how it appears, but I have given this image some HDR treatment so it is far more dramatic than it actually was, but I like the result, so now you are in a storm whether you like it or not! ;)

Boy that really does enhance how dramatic it looks (without seeing the original) and I like it just fine Patti. I like wild weather although my dog is terrified of thunder. LOL

good conveyance of the differing textures of the elements.the turbulence of the clouds and the fluidity of the lake(?).also an indication of the fragility of human design with the rickety jetty leading to the boat and bisecting the picture.nice one.into my faves.best wishes, simon.

Very good and dramatic - Glad I didn't have to be out in the storm! It looks like you would get wet walking out to the boat though. ;-)

Don`t go out in that boat Patti !!! In fact stay of the jetty as well (better to be safe than wet :~s) As the water looks a bit choppy the sky goes well to give it a stormy feel but I`m a fan of darker HDR skys so I think you could have went a wee bit further and added even more drama, but thats a personal preferance and probably not for everyone. Still a topper and I think you did a great job with the perspective to get the shot in the first place. BTW what did you use for the HDR ....Photomatix?

Patti, watching this image it makes me almost feel seasick while there isn't any no reason to feel so (lol). I have to say honestly, that I'm not a fan of HDR (and other tricks) as it gives a too dramatic and a non realistic impression of the situation to me. Understand me well, I've to respect fully your choice as I gave only my personal meaning to you. Nice image anyhow. Regards, Cornelius

Hello Patti. This is Fabulous. Ya know what, I'm with Paul, I'm not sure what the HDR really is either. But I think what is really good about this shot is you seemed to use the "everything in moderation" principle and didn't go too far with the HDR. Thanks for sharing. It is soooo dramatic - into my faves.
