I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Beautiful autumn walkway. I like the way the foreground tree frames the rest of the picture. Your poem is also very touching and has found a place in the hearts of you audiance.
Oooh a proper blaze of colour. I've been looking for trees to try to do this with but they haven't 'turned' down here yet. Apparently we're in for the most spectacular autumn ever though so I can't wait. You've whet my appetite and given us another great post. Where are my sunglasses?
PS you missed the last bit of your poem. 'We continue on life's path...to the pub'.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE

i love this shot! i love fall too though so i'm kind of biased.. only thing i wish wasnt there were the people! haha gorgeous shot... wish i got this in the VB
My...this is beautiful dear....I simply love the litghtheartedness...the gorgeous soft Autmunal colors...well just tne feeling of fun and childlike play....
Also... it reminds me very much of 'Renoir's work...an artist I have alway loved and admired....while he lived a childhood of unhappiness....his work never 'hinted' at this...his early life...his work always danced with color and had the movement of butterflies...bees... and flowers that sang...sorry...got carried away a bit....;o)
Now then...back to your photo....Patty it is wonderful...fun..full of life...and well...just enchanting...
Very nice..in fact lovely....and yes...it still reminds me of a 'Renoir' painting....to me...this is quite a complement..one of the highest I can offer...
Good work Patty..and I will add this photo to my favorites....
My goodness ...
Can you see me - kneeling amongst the most stinging nettles and taking a picture of an orange-red coloured fallen leaf or anything else on the ground in a tight place for that matter ...?! LOL
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Love your poem. Very thought provoking and perfect for this post. You took great photo then wrote equally great poem to enhance the image. It doesn't get much better then that. Like the hitching posts in your photo and the leaves on the ground seem to fit this scene better then the one's on the trees. Well done Patti.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Patti, although it's a brief poem, you've hit the nail at its head. Wonderful. Wonderful too is your image. Not only the autumn tones are beautiful but the slowly disapearing people as well. Regards, Cornelius
We continue on life's path... but we might enjoy just kicking a few leaves on the way and enjoying all those colours! Nice shot Patti; the autumn hues are really beginning to kick-in now!
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

*looks through Yellowpages.com, finds Hallmark cards...*. Are you moonlighting? Great combination. The photo is wonderful and I, for one, believe the people actually belong in this one
;-p . Thanks for sharing it.
