I've been looking forward to your Rome posts and I'm soooo pleased to be the first to comment!! First impressions - I had no idea of the scale!! The people are totally dwarfed in this. What an amazing place it must have been to gather in and do business. You really got a sense of the place Fogz - maybe we should have a toga party in Leeds as part of the get-together ?? After all, didn't Frankie Howerd say something happened on the way to the forum......

Patti, by saying that this is the Roman Forum, you made it very difficult for us to guess in which city you were, so it's a pity that there are no prizes for guessing. I'm disappointed now, lol. Wonderful image. Perfectly captured. Regards, Cornelius

So this is where you've been hiding for the last few days? What a beautiful place this is and the size of the ruins look so incredibly huge as to what I pictured them to be Patti. Magnificent capture.

Great capture of these Roman ruins Patti! Hey, this would be a great entry for the urban life contest! But then, I'm sure you probably have dozens of Rome captures that would qualify as well. =)

I attended a Forum and we discussed the question at hand and decided it was just fine for you to post several (hundred) Roman Holiday pictures. I was in Rome when I was in the USAF in the 1960's and I don't remember this being that huge. Of course I was bigger then. Good photo, great angle and perspective. I'm looking forward to more Patti.

Great shot, Patti. Sure glad you kept the Colosseum in view. It helps me get my bearings on the old rock pile. The shelters weren't there on my last visit. They would have come in handy. I had to keep plastic bags handy for the cameras.

Superb job!
