Oh cool now this one can be my new desktop. Don't know what it is about your images but I love seeing them when I start up my computer. There is something lunar about this isn't there. Maybe those rocks fell to earth from a passing comet?
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
I just love how these huge rocks are atop this mountain Patti. Now, how did they get there? LOL. I like your imagination used in this post- very well suited for it.
Good photo Patti. Looks like rocks that were tossed about by giants in a game or battle. Great coloring and view. Sky is awesome and clarity is pure Patti.

Let's see...if we take away the nice green of the grasses, and the little mosses and such..then take out the stone fences and the houses and..oh, yes..let's not forget those houses that have been mentioned already..and if I squint my eyes and have another sip of wine..hmmmm...yup!! It's the moon all righty. I always have said that your shots were out of this world, Patti!!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Those rocks are amazing. I love the depth of view in this composition Patti. It's a striking image. The title made me think that thank God that it's not on the Moon, or else humans would comme settle on it and destroy the environment all over again.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Here's police's song, STING LYRICS
"Walking On The Moon"
Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could live together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Walking back from your house
Walking on the moon
Feet they hardly touch the ground
Walking on the moon
My feet don't hardly make no sound
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say
I'm wishing my days away
No way
And if it's the price I pay
Some say
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play...
Just gorgeous Patti! And yes you do have quite an imagination..lol..but then I guess you have to have one being a superb photographer! Excellent capture. :)

Is that the place the ancients got some of the boulders to build Stonehenge? Were you standing that close to the edge when you took this shot? OK..no more questions. I love this picture. You got a fantastic looking sky, along with the countryside. Super.
A rather diverse and fascinating landscape.
Well, someone had plans for that place; I wonder what they were.
